A man serving life in prison for molesting and killing a Crothersville girl is now part of a Department of Correction investigation.

Anthony Stockelman, convicted for the murder of Katie Collman, now has a tattoo that reads "Katie's Revenge" on his forehead.

A Department of Correction spokesperson says Stockelman did receive the tattoo while serving time at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. While they won't comment further they do say the incident is under investigation and they have contacted the state police.

COLUMBUS, Ind. - An inmate accused of forcibly tattooing a slain 10-year-old girl's name onto her killer's forehead in an Indiana prison was the victim's cousin, a family friend said.

Jared Harris, 22, is a cousin of Katlyn "Katie" Collman, family friend and spokesman Terry Gray confirmed to The Republic newspaper. He said he did not believe they knew each other well.

Harris, 22, who is serving time on a burglary conviction at Wabash Valley state prison in Carlisle, has been charged with battery and is accused of tattooing "KATIE'S REVENGE" across Anthony Ray Stockelman's forehead.

Harris told prison officials the attack was in revenge, according to an affidavit.

That is great. Before raping someone do a complete background check of the family to see if they have any family or friends in jail, just in case you go to that jail, and make sure they do not have any gang or mob or politician ties either.

He deserved it. I think its awesome. Now he can either wear make up to cover it for the rest of his life, or see his crime in the mirror everyday. Priceless.

He will not worry about people other than fellow inmates and CO's from seeing it for some time.

I dont care if he cares about them seeing it, fact is, he will know its there and thats awesome.

Unless of course because it happened to him in prison, the prison pays for him to have it removed, or I believe he can sue.

I am sure he press charges and then sue in civil court.

I meant sue them if they don't allow him to have it removed on their dime. Not for money.

Many prisoners are able to sue and win judgements. Usually the judgments will go towards the victim and/or victim's family. Same thing with royalties from jail. Charles Manson gets royalties all the time, but the funds go to either the Tate or LaBianca families.
