A Louisville police officer was fatally shot Wednesday after responding to complaints about an unruly driver. A teenage suspect in the shooting then killed himself, police said. Officer Peter Grignon, 27, died of two bullet wounds to the head and neck about 2½ hours after the 7 a.m. shooting. The two-year veteran was the first Louisville or Jefferson County police officer to die in the line of duty since 1988. He had celebrated his first wedding anniversary Sunday.
