LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- A bank teller was shot and killed on Saturday during a bank robbery in Little Rock. Police are searching for a suspect.

The robbery occurred at about 11 a.m. at a Metropolitan National Bank branch.

Police said the robber entered the bank and shot 25-year-old James R. Garrison in the chest, fatally wounding him.

The robber then approached another teller and said, "Give me all of it," and the teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. The robber said, "Merry Christmas," and fled.

Garrison was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The suspect is described as a male, 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue sweatshirt with the number 77 on the front.

The suspect used a revolver in the robbery, police said.

That sucks for his family.
And I'm jealous of how clear the banks images are. Very few of my banks can capture that clear of an image.

I think GE's cameras can get that clear of an image through a windshield from half a mile.

Yeah that happens when a company cares about protecting it's assets.

The description sounds like Bill.

I think the police can take a shitty ass picture and give it good quality. Did Law and Order not teach you anything?

Well for any bank robbery that involves over $10,000 (I think) or being injured or killed the FBI gets involved and yes they can work wonders. It just bothers me that the bank can't do that themselves. Some of our branches are hit or miss. The most frequently robbed ones do have nice images but the rest are grainy at best.

One of the problems TrustCo had with its ATM cameras is that they'd only have 7 tapes in the building, one for each day of the week. (Well, back when they used VCR tape) Well, when you record over and over a tape about twenty times, the quality goes down very sharply. One time a customer of ours got robbed at the ATM and when the police went to review the ATM tape, it was just this very very grainy silhouette of each person without much detail. In today's world, it's stupid not to invest the little extra money into a quality camera and have it all dump onto a hard drive.
