A search is underway for a missing two-month-old baby boy, after his mother forgot where she left him.

Houston FBI agents and San Antonio police are working together to find the infant. According to authorities, Veronica Francine Ramirez from San Antonio traveled to Houston on Sunday, January 14, with her two-month-old son, Isiah Ramirez. When she returned to San Antonio, reportedly under the influence of drugs, she did not have the child and could not remember what happened to him.

Veronica Francine Ramirez, the biological mother of Isiah Ramirez, was last seen with Isiah at approximately 6:00 p.m. on January 13, 2007 near their home in San Antonio, Texas.

Veronica told San Antonio police investigators that she may have given Isiah to two unidentified females in an unidentified truck stop restroom somewhere between San Antonio and Houston. She told authorities she stopped in Columbus, but does not recall if she had the child then or not. She also said she stopped at several rest areas. Veronica may have been driving a maroon 2005 Nissan Maxima.

Veronica advised SAPD investigators that she believes Isiah may be sick. Isiah has an underdeveloped esophagus and requires special formula.

Isiah was born November 13, 2006. He's 22 inches tall, weighing 12 pounds, with gray eyes and brown hair. Isiah was last seen wearing a white beanie hat, a light blue "Winnie the Pooh" sleeper and "I Love My Daddy" bib. His child safety seat and black diaper bag are also missing.

This is sad. May the baby be in good hands finally or at least at peace.

I realize the most important thing is to "find" the baby. But what's gonna happen w/this bitch, even "IF" they do find the baby?

Hopefully reckless endangerment or something along those lines. Traveling around stoned and misplacing you purse isn't a big deal. Misplacing your baby is, however.

I still think the kid is dead. Or she sold it for more drugs.

They found the baby in California. The people she gave him to called it in.

Oh thank god they found him alive and well. Poor baby. To have a cracked out mom just lose you is some fucked up shit.

Especially going from Texas all the way to California.

Wait. If someone gave me a baby, I wouldn't hang on to it for a few days and drive a thousand miles with it. There's more to this story.

Most definately, but it has not been released yet.

She probably sold it for drugs

Which implies that the other party is guilty of purchasing a child. If they were genuinely concerned for the safety of the child, they'd have brought the kid right to a police station or something rather than driving all the way back to California with it.

Exactly. If not the police station then a hospital, or doctors office or a fucking vet's office.

I don't get why a mother would do that. I mean w/all the options you have these days. If you don't want the child, don't keep the child, but don't sell it for drugs or w/e the hell she did.

They better not put that child back in her custody.

Mel

If she wants the child. I don't think she should totally lose him. But she does need some serious help before she should reobtain custody.

I agree. I think she should be made to drink an entire gallon of bleach. If she survives, she should be able to take five years of parenting class. Upon completion of the class, she should be able to apply for custody.
