The study says nothing about September 11, 2000. In fact it uses numbers beginning on September 12, 2001.

Maybe it is rocket science afterall...:duh2:

You obviously missed the point. Terrorism is only measured by the attacks they perform. Any attack on Coalition Forces is considered a terrosist attack. We're in their country trying to rid the country of them, causing them to attack coalition forces and Iraqi forces. Each of those attacks is added to the tally, increasing the total.

My reference to 9/11 was unrelated to the article. I said that using terrorist attack numbers since the war to illustrate the rise in terrorism is like referring to the death rate on 9/11/01 in comparison to any other day of the year. On paper, it looks like the death rate spiked for no reason. You have to factor in the reasons for such an increase into the data.
