Web sites say Mayer, Chesney coming, but SPAC stays mum

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- It hasn't been officially announced in the "real world" yet, but it's all over the World Wide Web: John Mayer is coming to SPAC this summer.
According to JohnMayer.com and several music news Web sites, Mayer will be at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on July 15 as part of his "Continuum" summer tour.
So far, the only other major pop/rock concert that the venue has announced for upcoming months is a May 30 show featuring Fall Out Boy, who will appear as part of the Honda Civic Tour/Jeep Concert Series. Fall Out Boy will be joined by Cobra Starship, Paul Wall, +44 and The Academy Is. Information about that show is available on SPAC's Web site (www.spac.org) and tickets are available from Ticketmaster or by phone at 476-1000.
On July 25, country superstar Kenny Chesney is scheduled to perform at SPAC as part of his "Flip Flop Summer Tour," joined by Sugarland and Pat Green, according to Chesney's Web site.
A spokesperson for Live Nation, the promoter for SPAC's pop and rock concerts, said she could not confirm the Mayer or Chesney concerts, but added that the company will release its summer schedule soon.
