Jamie Foxx, Jay-Z 'Influential' Says Time Magazine

Jamie Foxx and Jay-Z are in a class with President Bush and ex-con Martha Stewart according to “Time” magazine’s second annual “Time 100” list of the world’s most influential people, published on Sunday.

Jay-Z made the cut for his December move into the presidency of Universal Music Group’s Def Jam label; Foxx earned a spot for implanting his foot firmly into Oscar territory with legit-making turns in 'Collateral' and 'Ray,' the latter earning him an Academy Award for best actor.

Martha Stewart, also on the list, has emerged from her five-month lockdown in federal prison with two new television shows, including her version of Donald Trump’s The Apprentice. The Daily Show host Jon Stewart, who satirizes politicians and the media on television and in the best-selling "America (The Book)," also landed on the list.

Bush has influence that is as "unexpected as it is ubiquitous," wrote “Time's” Matthew Cooper of the President’s appearance on the list. "Bush may not get everything he wants, but he'll get a lot of it."

The President shares space on the list with filmmaker Michael Moore, whose scathing documentary 'Fahrenheit 9/11' put the President and his White House on blast.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, who survived dioxin poisoning, and conservative German Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who presided over Pope John Paul II's funeral on Friday, also made the list.
