CHICAGO (AP) A woman has filed a lawsuit against a hospital alleging that while she was anesthetized, naked and awaiting surgery, a hospital employee took pictures of her and then distributed them.
The lawsuit seeks more than $50,000 in damages from Edward Hospital and 23-year-old Jose Rostro, who is accused of taking the photos in October.
The suit, which was filed Friday, also alleges Edward Hospital was negligent in hiring, retaining and supervising Rostro.
Edward spokeswoman Deborah Linton said officials did not know of the lawsuit regarding Rostro's alleged actions.
Twenty-three-year-old Rostro has been charged with unauthorized videotaping. Messages left with a Jose Rostro from Bolingbrook were not immediately returned today.
