The state Liquor Authority revoked the liquor license of a Cohoes business and canceled or suspended licenses at six other Capital Region businesses, authorities said today.
Under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law, a revocation terminates a business's license and bans the licensee from holding any alcoholic beverage license for two years.
A cancellation also terminates the license, but does not ban the licensee from applying for a license for two years.
A suspension prohibits the consumption or sale of alcoholic beverages for a designated period.
Penalties are a civil penalty, which is a monetary fine levied against the licensee, and a bond claim, made against the licensee's surety bond, a requirement for holding a liquor license.
