The Game And Mary J. Blige Hook Up For New Version Of 'Hate It Or Love It'

The Game's "Hate It Or Love It" featuring 50 Cent hit Number One this week on the Billboard Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The song may be competing against itself shortly as The Game and Mary J. Blige recorded a new version of the song, titled "MVP," which debuted at Number 57 on the chart this week. "MVP" is the unofficial lead single from Blige's untitled new album, which will be out later this year.

Cool & Dre, who produced "Hate It Or Love It," and now "MVP," shared how impressed they were with the latest version of the song. Dre said: "It's incredible, man. I never heard nothing like it. I never seen nothing like a record that's been on the radio for four days, officially, and it already is Number 57 on the R&B charts. She made a record that made you forget the original. You know, after a while when something gets played so much, so many remixes, you're like, 'Yo, I'm tired of this beat already.' She made it fresh again."

Dre also explained that Blige shouting them out at the end of the song was also a good look. He said: "She shouts us out like, you know, 'Shout out to Cool & Dre for making the track.' That's huge. Like I said, there's three people in this game that give you a shout out and it means something for your career, and that's Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, and Fat Joe."
