BOSTON -- Sabrina Rahim doesn't practice any particular faith, but she had no problem signing a letter declaring that because of her deeply held religious beliefs, her 4-year-old son should be exempt from the vaccinations required to enter preschool.
She is among a small but growing number of parents around the country who are claiming religious exemptions to avoid vaccinating their children when the real reason may be skepticism of the shots or concern they can cause other illnesses. Some of these parents say they are being forced to lie because of the way the vaccination laws are written in their states.
"It's misleading," Rahim admitted, but she said she fears that earlier vaccinations may be to blame for her son's autism. "I find it very troubling, but for my son's safety, I feel this is the only option we have."

she contradicts herself by saying "for her sons safety" after saying it's for religious beliefs.....
if these kids get sick, aren't they putting the rest of us with low immune systems, even though we've gotten our shots, into danger? If so, they should have to get the shot or go live somewhere else. <shrug> My kids NEVER had a bad reaction to an immunization.

There is no evidence that vaccines cause autism.
A doctor in the 90's from the UK wrote a medical paper stating that he though vaccines caused autism. Since then he has recanted the entire paper he wrote saying that his further research changed his original feelings on the subject.
If you do not want to protect your child from these horrible illnesses then keep them home and out of my kids school. Your lack of safety and caring about the health of your kid should not put my children in danger.

That is one of the things McKenna's pediatrican talked about during the office open house they have for possible new infant patients.
She said that if she had any reason to think or if there was any medical proof out there she would not have kids gets the vaccines.

thats cause dr morris rocks.
Cameron cant get any live vaccines... we have to have the doctor sign a paper to allow him to enter school. He could have them before his transplant, so he had the big ones... just nothing since 15 months old.
I dont think that they should be able to not havethem for anything other than medical reasons. Germs run rampant around the school and vaccines were created to protect us...

so he'll probably get the chicken pox, eh? My kids were around kids w/chicken pox sooooooooo many times and never got them, then they got the vaccine, it's not 100%, but I think they're in the clear now. I'm kinda bummed I didn't get to take pics of them with it though.

Dr. Morris does rock.
Dr. Noonan is a moron though. She has missed the exact same cancer in two different kids now. I am surprised she is still in the group since she is such a liability.

I had the chicken pox when I was 10 months old. Don't remember a thing about them.

They have the right to deny the vaccinations just like they have the right to have their children die of illnesses that the vaccinations prevent.

I don't think it can affect anyone else because we've been vaccinated.

I don't think it can affect anyone else because we've been vaccinated.
It would have the potential of mutating from an infected person and then infecting other children.
