A Hudson falls teacher and track coach is behind bars tonight accused of having sex with a student he coached.

26-year-old Kason O'Neil was charged with two felony counts of rape.
Police say he had sex with a 14-year-old student at the Hudson Falls Senior High School in December 2005 then again between January and June of 2006.

O'Neil is a physical education teacher and coached the track team.
He has been put on administrative leave. Police are now looking to see if there are any more victims

Hudson Falls teacher indicted on sex charges

HDUSON FALLS - A 26-year old Hudson Falls High School teacher is accused of having sex with one of his students 20 times on school grounds.

In an indictment handed up Thursday, Kason O'Neil is accused of 21 sex charges, including 14 felonies.

O'Neil is a physical education teacher and track and field coach at Hudson Falls High.

A Washington County grand jury accused O'Neil of having sex with a 14-year-old girl on school grounds in 2005 and 2006. The indictment accuses him of raping the girl because under the law she is too young to consent.

After word broke of his arrest last week, O'Neil's friends and students used online forums to express their support for the 26-year-old teacher.

A source close to the investigation says O'Neil has spoken very little about what he's accused of. In fact, according to the source, he hasn't even denied it.

But O'Neil's attorney, Terry Kindlon, says otherwise.

"My client denies absolutely that anything took place between he and this girl," Kindlon said.

"We're certainly fairly confident these things did happen as the victim described them. And like I said, we're running down other leads to try to corroborate other information," Deputy Police Chief Randy Diamond insisted.

In fact, police say O'Neil, who worked at a summer camp in Maine and lived in Saratoga County, could be facing more charges.

"We're basically appealing to the media and public if there is any other victims or anybody that may have pertinent information related to this case, to contact our office or the New York State Police," Diamond said.

The school is not commenting, but they've placed O'Neil on administrative leave.

Are these types of cases big money-makers for Kindlin?

Kind of sucks that this has to turn out to be a rape case. I bet the chances are good that this 14 year old girl really enjoyed herself all 20+ times they had sex and that she has feelings for the guy.
