Police: Dead cats, bombs found in Ravena home
RAVENA, N.Y. (AP) - Animal control investigators checking out an abuse report at an Albany-area home found several dead cats and explosive devices, including aerial bombs, inside the house.
Police say local humane society officers found three dead cats and dozens of others living in deplorable conditions at the home in Ravena, 10 miles south of Albany.
Authorities say they also found war memorabilia that included numerous bombs. The state police bomb squad was called in and troopers removed hand grenades, land mines and a laser-guided rocket.
Police say the homeowners were evaluated at a local hospital and released. Their names have not been released, and they have not been charged.
