By WNYT Staff
A 36-year-old man died in Troy following a fight Saturday night. Police have labeled the death suspicious and are investigating the incident.
The altercation occurred at the Hudson Duster, at 40 3rd Street, according to police. They said the man was inside the bar with two acquaintances when one of them was involved in a minor altercation with another patron. The three were escorted out of the bar.
Once outside, police said, a second fight broke out involving the same three individuals, and others outside the bar. Following the second incident, the 36-year-old collapsed and was transported to St. Mary's hospital by car, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The man did not have any obvious significant injuries as a result of the fight that would have caused his death.
Troy Police are conducting interviews of patrons and employees of the bar as well as awaiting results from the pending autopsy to further the investigation.
Police said the victim's name will be released when the family has been notified.
