Jeanine Pirro, a high-profile prosecutor from the New York City area, said Monday she will seek the Republican nomination to challenge Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in her bid for re-election next year."I am running against Hillary Clinton because New York state deserves a senator who will give her all to the people of New York for a full term, who will not miss votes to campaign in (presidential) primaries," Pirro said in a statement.

"When Mrs. Clinton first came to us and said she wanted to be a New Yorker, she asked New York to put out a welcome mat and we did," the Westchester County district attorney added. "But now she wants us to re-elect her even though she won't promise to serve out her term and wants to use us as a springboard to the presidency. She's asking us to become her doormat. I believe we deserve better."

There was no immediate comment from Clinton.

Agreed. But that's not why I'm voting for her.

Pirro Web site has no photos of her husband

(Albany, NY - AP) — Jeanine Pirro's spiffy Web site includes pictures of the Westchester County district attorney with her mother, her kindergarten teacher, various celebrities and politicians — even pictures of her holding a monkey.

But there's one thing not included on w-w-w-jeaninepirro-dot-com — a picture of the US Senate hopeful's husband.

Lawyer and lobbyist Albert Pirro served nearly a year in federal prison on a tax fraud conviction.

When asked why her husband's photo doesn't appear among the scores included on the Web site, a spokesman for the Republican DA's fledgling campaign says it's about Jeanine Pirro's "experience, qualifications and willingness" to serve as a senator from New York.

Pirro hopes to challenge Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton in next year's Senate race. Clinton's Web site offers a "photo album" with 15 different images, including nine showing her with her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

On the Web:

For Pirro: http://www.jeaninepirro.com (javascript:MM_openBrWindow('http://www.jeaninepirro.com','_new','toolbar=yes,location =yes,status=yes,menubar=yes,scrollbars=yes,resizab le=yes,width=600,height=400'))

For Clinton: http://www.hillaryclinton.com (http://www.hillaryclinton.com)

So now it will turn out to be the lesser of 2 evils that get's elected. Why doesn't she just admit it and move on. If not this will be a sticking point. I would vote for her still regardless of what her husband did but don't hide from it. Embrace it and move on. I still don't know how we elected Hillary. In my perspective she hasn't done a damn thing for NY and I would vote just to have her removed.

Clinton's husband let a fat whale suck his cock in the oval office, lied about it under oath, and she herself was involved in a Savings and Loan scandal.

I'll take my chances on Pirro.
