AKRON, Ohio -- Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic has docked himself a day's pay for cursing during an argument with a parking attendant.
The $500 self-punishment was revealed Tuesday when the mayor also apologized for using the "F-word" during the well-publicized incident with the attendant last month.
That's when the mayor and the attendant disagreed over where Plusquellic should park at a downtown lot when he arrived for a meeting with a museum director.
The mayor talked to the man's supervisor the next day and got him fired.
Plusquellic said he's sorry for swearing. But he's not apologizing for anything else.
