View Full Version : Horse breeder facing animal cruelty charges

A Schoharie County horse breeder has been arrested on 20 counts of animal cruelty charges.

State police said Mary Dawn Sitors, 45, of Sloansville failed to provide proper care for the horses at her Palomino Palace farm on Cleveland Road.

Sitors was involved in the raising, breeding and boarding of the horses, which were taken to the Catskill Animal Sanctuary. Operators there said the horses are underweight, weak and plagued by parasites. One is expected to die.

Sitors is due back in court on Feb. 16.

ugh, i hate people when they are cruel to horses. I love those animals, espically when i was working up there last summer and again this coming summer....that pisses me off like woah

This lady I worked with owns TONS of horses, and I got to ride one with some training...

They are awesome animals

As far as I'm concerned, fuck anyone who treats animals like shit. I hate hearing about that stuff.
