Police are looking for two men who they said tied up a Slingerlands couple and held them hostage for several hours in their mansion.

Investigators said the homeowner was attacked in the garage of his New Scotland Road home shortly after 5 p.m. when he got back from work. His wife was attacked the same way a short time later.

Police said the suspects stole credit cards and ATM cards while the couple was tied up. Investigators said the men then went back and forth from the home to banks and shops over a span of about four hours.

The couple managed to break free around 9 p.m. and that's when they called police.

Bethlehem Deputy Police Chief Tim Beebe said, "We've got an all-points bulletin out on the vehicle at this time, we're hoping an extra set of eyes will help locate it."

The vehicle is the couple's red Jeep Cherokee.

Police said the suspects were carrying a gun and large knife when they broke into the home.

Wow! Getting closer to my home again now. Just saw this news flash on the capital 9 news. One of my favorite channels on TV. Curious if I know of these people who were robbed.
