Cy, short for Cyclopes, was born in December with only one eye and no nose. Its Redmond, Oregon, owner says the ragdoll breed cat, which died after living for one day, was one of two in the litter. Its sibling was born normal and healthy.

Ragdoll cats are a popular, relatively new breed known for being affectionate and their tendency to relax their muscles and go limp when being held.

Its so different its loveable as hell. Yeah its to bad it didn't survive. Should I assume it needed a nose to survive?

i don't think one NEEDS nose to survive. sure, it's useful. but neccessary? nah.

if there were exterior deformities to such an extent i would assume the insides were just as bad, if not worse.

Well, if it had deformities to that degree on the outside, chances are it had deformities to at least that degree inside.
