Despite Sen. Hillary Clinton’s liberal views on myriad issues, her vote in favor of the Iraq war has really ticked off some prominent celebrities in Hollywood, such as actress and anti-war advocate Susan Sarandon.

In an interview with More Magazine, Sarandon registers her disgust for the N.Y. junior senator and likely 2008 Democratic presidential candidate.

"She seems to be a very bright woman. I've met her. But she's lost her progressive following because of her caution and centrist approach. It bothers me when she voted for the war," Sarandon said.

Clinton is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee who, in a departure from many of her fellow Democrats, voted to authorize U.S. troop presence in that region.

Sarandon participated in an anti-war concert to mark the third anniversary of the conflict in Iraq. The actress was several music artists and overexposed anti-war protester and Gold Star mom Cindy Sheehan, who has also criticized Clinton.
Sarandon said Clinton’s initial vote and support of the war in Iraq is "a great disappointment” because many liberals – the actress calls them "progressives” – had high hopes for a Clinton presidential run in 2008.

"There were brave people who didn't [vote]. She's not worse than other politicians, but I hoped she would be better," Sarandon said. "What America is looking for is authentic people who want to go into public service because they believe strongly in something, not people who are trying to get elected."
