Green Day Album Brings Boy Out Of Coma

A Welsh Green Day fan emerged from a coma after listening to the band's Grammy-winning American Idiot album, according to the BBC. Nine-year-old Corey George of Aberaman, Wales, had been in a coma and on life support for two weeks before his family played the "punk rock opera" for him. Within an hour of hearing the disc, George reportedly woke up and began moving his fingers and toes.

George was hit by an SUV while crossing the street on his ninth birthday. He has been taken off the critical list, although he is still unable to speak or move. Green Day reportedly sent a box of CDs and other merchandise to the boy after hearing the news of his emergence from the coma.

The trio begins a North American tour on April 15th in Coral Gables, Florida.

Cool. Didn't hear about this. I did go to see Green Day that year in April and it was a great show. I tried to upload a pic of Billy after the concert, which was his first concert. He and Jake were both sporting a green mohawk.

I was thinking the show we went to was the opening show of that tour so maybe your right.... maybe it was somewhere else. It would have to be a big venue for Greenday.
